PERFORMING ARTS’ PROGRAMME

About The Programme

Our Performing Arts’ Programme runs in Merton Park on Saturday mornings for 3-17 year olds. Students take separate classes in all three disciplines of Performing Arts’; Acting, Singing and Dancing.

Acting

During acting classes students will work on text, improvisation, mime and performance techniques with professional practitioners, linked to the termly theme, culminating in an end of term performance for parents. Students also have the option to take part in annual LAMDA examinations.

3-6 year olds are invited to take LAMDA Communication Exams

7 – 17 year olds will enter appropriate levels in Acting exams

Singing

Students will work with professional singing teachers to focus on a variety of genres and styles of singing, ready for the end of term performances. Younger students will learn action songs and rhymes which help to develop memory and performance skills.

Dancing

Our dance classes for kids will see Students work with professional dancers to examine different styles of dance and movement.

Students will have a 20 minute break during the morning session.
